Dating Should Be Fun
Let's be honest — most dating apps feel the same. Same swipes, same layouts, same subscription prices. They've turned finding love into a monotonous grind.
A Passion Project
Lovel Up is something I built in my spare time because I wanted something different. It's not backed by venture capital pushing for endless growth metrics. It's just me, trying to make dating apps actually enjoyable again.
Know Yourself First
I spent some time on r/Tinder on Reddit researching how people act on dating apps, and I'm constantly surprised by what some people do. Too many profiles are just the bare minimum — a few photos and a half-hearted bio. I'm hoping Lovel Up encourages people to dig deeper and really understand who they are, so they can show up as their true selves.
Get Outside, Be Active
I believe the best connections happen in the real world, not through endless texting. That's why Lovel Up encourages you to go outside, explore your city, and meet people in person. Dating shouldn't keep you glued to your phone.
Embrace the Random
I'm a big fan of coincidences and randomness. Some of the best things in life happen by chance — bumping into someone at a coffee shop, a random conversation that turns into something more. I'm building that serendipity into Lovel Up.
Don't Take It Too Seriously
Dating apps have become stressful. The pressure to have the perfect bio, the perfect photos, the perfect opening line. Lovel Up is meant to be fun. Play some games, boost your profile, and remember — it's just an app. The real magic happens when you put down your phone.
